Bett 2022: Are you heading to Bett next week?!

Adrian Edgar

With Bett 2022 starting next Wednesday morning, I started to work out how long I have been attending this major EdTech event. I think I have been to every single Bett exhibition (apart from last year!) since the late ‘90s, back when I was a newly qualified teacher! So, effectively this year is probably somewhere around my 25th event.

I was going to write a blog post about preparing for Bett 2022, but this has been a slightly different run of events in several ways. Of course, everyone in the EdTech industry is looking forward to getting together next week at London ExCeL after the event was postponed in January due to COVID-19 restrictions, but for AspiraCloud, this year takes on an extra special meaning as we reach our 10th anniversary. It is also the first year that we are exhibiting at the event in our own right – although for many years we have participated in other ways, as many of you know.

I could start the usual blog post about attending Bett with the wisest of recommendations… ensure you wear comfy shoes, take care at Canning Town, plan your visit carefully to make sure that you see everything that you want…but that is pretty obvious as I am sure many of you have been there before!

Let’s focus more on what’s new and exciting for Bett 2022.

Microsoft Intune for Education and Endpoint Manager

If nothing else, the recent lockdowns have taught us that affordable devices for all is just the starting point when providing technology to help support good quality teaching and learning. Now that schools are getting back to normal, it is important that we harness the use of technology in a way that that complements more traditional teaching styles so that your students can continue to make good progress in a supported and safe environment.

For AspiraCloud, that means making good use of Microsoft Endpoint Manager or Intune for Education to safely manage user devices. Whether you are looking to use cloud management for existing desktops, DFE laptops or existing iOS devices, we can help you make the most of the safe, secure and effective management made available via Intune for Education or the full version of Microsoft Endpoint Manager for the more adventurous amongst you.

If you are interested, take a look at the documentation on the Microsoft website What is Intune for Education? – Intune for Education | Microsoft Docs or simply go scan the QR code here and ask AspiraCloud to take you through the possibilities available to you.

At BETT 2022, you’ll have the chance to save nearly £1000 on a free consultation to understand how you can implement Intune for Education or Endpoint Manager.

Surface Laptop SE with Windows 11 SE

Now more that ever, students deserve access to high quality affordable devices and the very latest technology to support their learning.  The Microsoft Surface Laptop SE is a new offering that will seamlessly run Windows 11 SE and Microsoft 365 education in an easy to use, web-based experience or the full office applications. The Surface Laptop SE brings together the well-known Surface quality devices and affordable access for all.

This device, combined with the power of endpoint manager would be an excellent addition for any primary school looking to adopt good quality affordable devices without compromising on quality or access to technology.

Windows 11 SE offers the performance and reliability required in a cloud first device and AspiraCloud can offer you the support to make this work.

MicrosoftSurface for Education

AspiraCloud are proud to be able to offer this device here at Bett 2022 from the low starting price of only £230 including VAT. If you were to combine this with our endpoint manager starter package for schools, then you could be open running with new devices in no time at all.

The Surface SE device is lightweight and powerful enough for all the needs of a good primary school with enough battery life to last the whole day.

If you want to know more about this great new device running Windows 11 or indeed any of the Surface family then do come along and see us on stand SK33 during the 3 days at Bett for a demonstration and more information.

Cloud First Support

AspiraCloud have been working on our Cloud First Support model for a while now and we are looking to see how this can work effectively in schools and an education setting. Our Cloud First Support model is an insurance policy for schools, providing just enough IT support, primarily remote, that allows us to rapidly respond to many of the quick fix items that may prevent a teacher making effective use of their cloud managed device.

After a lot of success with this model supporting Not For Profit organisations all over the UK, we are looking carefully at how this may work for certain schools and would be keen for your input.  This is still very much a “work in progress” for AspiraCloud in the Education sector and we are taking this opportunity to discuss with interested schools, particularly in the primary sector.  So do call by stand SK33 and tell us what you need from IT support in a way that fits your budget and allows your teachers to get on and effectively teach.

We look forward to seeing you there – Adrian & the team
